Now Roger Bedford a 2010 Gubernatorial Entry? What is going on

I'm thinking this interview was conducted right after Folsom said he wasn't running and the news broke that Sparks was going to be a contestant. But they ran the story anyways without going back to Bedford which is either really really bad journalism or this is evidence that nobody really knows what anyone is going to do.

State Sen. Roger Bedford, D-Russellville, said Thursday that he had received encouragement to enter the race and is considering his future plans.

"I'm certainly keeping all my options open," said Bedford, chairman of the Senate Finance and Taxation General Fund Committee. "I think it's important we have strong leadership to move the state forward."

Bedford, 52, represents a large northwestern district extending from Colbert to Lamar and Fayette counties. Bedford previously ran for U.S. Senate in 1996, losing to then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The state senator also mounted an unsuccessful run for attorney general in 1990.

Bedford and Sparks and Davis all in the race would probably insure a Davis landslide win seeing that Bedford and Sparks are both from North Alabama. Let's see what happens next. Stay tuned As the World Turns in Alabama Politics.
