Larry Langford, mayor of Birmingham, released a poll today at the Birmingham City Council meeting saying that 85% of 900 voters favor electronic gambling within the city of Birmingham.
Electronic gaming may increase revenue for the city and create new jobs. However, to propose something that the legislature will not accept is a bit irresponsible.
We cannot afford another legislative session like that of last year when nothing got accomplished because of gambling issues.
