The Minnesota Supreme Court today unanimously ruled in favor of Al Franken! This is fantastic news for Progressives. As Franken will join the thin ranks of Progressive Senators. He'll be up there with Russ Feingold, Bernie Sanders and John Kerry (are there others?).

makes life a lot easier (4.00 / 1)
but Schumer said today may not be a lot of difference between 59 and 60 on some issues. never know about Specter and sometime Lincoln or Landrieu for example

Yeah the 60 is worthless (4.00 / 1)
with Dems like Nelson...

can you think of anyone else in the Senate you would consider a Progressive besides Sanders, Feingold and Kerry. Interesting Sanders calls him self a Democratic Socialist.. but I see no reason not to call him a Progressive Democrat.

have you heard of the progressive block (0.00 / 0)
The Progressive Block

Democrats that will vote against legislation unless demands met. So it's adding strength to the Kucinich's or the others that go lone wolf when a bill is watered down.

The alternative to the Blue Dogs.
